bang wallop is a fresh, innovative and contemporary photographic concept store based in Salcombe, South Devon. It is located in the heart of Salcombe’s traditional boat-building area and its emerging arts quarter. 2000 square feet of waterside industrial buildings have been transformed – the minimalist interior encompasses a gallery, shop, studio and coffee bar, and is dedicated to the art of photography.
The Gallery: Showcases the work of internationally acclaimed photographic artists as well as providing a backdrop for emerging photographers. Products and services offered include: a range of high profile and collectible fine art, original photography, repro-poster range, ready made frames and the gallery can also be hired for events or exclusive exhibitions.
The Shop: In-store you’ll find a range of funky, design led products from books; greetings and art cards; gifts and gizmos; frames; a range of premium, yet affordable home ware products to exclusive one off and collectible vintage pieces. A bespoke and off-the-shelf Printing & Framing service is also available.
The Studios: At the heart of bang wallop are the photographic studios and post-production facilities, home to founder and principal photographer Lorna Yabsley. Lorna and her highly skilled, creative team of associate photographers and designers offer an unrivalled service to both the private and commercial client.
The Coffee Bar: All year round, customers can buy fantastic coffee or tea whilst browsing and sit at the café bar. During peak seasons (Easter and Summer Holidays) the outside terrace will be open where you can enjoy breakfasts such as coffee and freshly baked croissants, and a proper Devon cream tea served in vintage porcelain.
The School: Offering a range of courses for every level of skill, and interest. From beginner’s digital courses, to weekend and three day workshops run by our in-house team and high caliber guest tutors.
