This summer we will be exhibiting work from Magnum photographer Martin Parr.
Martin Parr was born in Epsom, Surrey in 1952, he studied photography at Manchester Polytechnic and has since developed an international reputation for his personal take on social documentary.
In 1994 he became a full member of the Magnum Photographic Corporation, and a large retrospective of Martin Parr’s work, initiated by the Barbican Art Gallery and National Media Museum in 2002 went on to tour Europe for 5 years.
Martin Parr has curated and exhibited at numerous exhibitions around the world, including 2006 Photokina, 2008 New York Photo Festival, and at PhotoEspana, 2008, he was awarded the Baume et Mercier prize in recognition of his professional career and contributions to contemporary photography.
