aerial photography of salcombe

Friday, October 22nd, 2010

At the end of may, following a period of perfect weather, bangwallop took to the skies over salcombe. with the help of Simon Evans and his giro-copter, bangwallop is now building up a comprehensive library of aerial shots of salcombe and the surrounding area.

so far we have pictures covering an area from start point, around the coast past hope cove and over bantham and burgh island. more recently we photographed salcombe estuary over the lowest tide of the year, which gave a unique view of the channels and mud flats. the ‘bar’ at the mouth of salcombe estuary can also be seen clearly in the aerial shots.
