any digital camera with memory card and fully charged battery, tripod, wet weather clothing and waterproof boots.

 

course description:

this course offers a fantastic opportunity to learn from acclaimed landscape photographer joe cornish.  this is first and foremost a field based workshop with the emphasis on practical experience. the stunning locations in and around salcombe provide a beautiful  and varied landscape to photograph.  lunch will be provided at bangwallop and on location.

course schedule: 

sunday 29th april

9.00am  welcome tea and coffee at bangwallop

10.00am   introduction, talk and slideshow.

12.00am   photography fieldwork around salcombe 

1.00pm   lunch at Bangwallop

2.00pm   photography fieldwork thurlstone sands

6.00pm   pub meal at hope cove

7.30pm   dusk/sunset shoot between hope cove and thurlestone

9.00pm     finish

 

monday 30th april

5.00am meet at bangwallop

5.50am sunrise over salcombe

8.00am breakfast at bangwallop

9.00am download and review images

12.30pm  lunch

1.30pm    photography field work around northsands/sharp tor

4.30pm    finish

 

tuesday 1st may

9.00am meet at bangwallop

10.00am   ferry to east portlemouth, photography, millbay and sunny cove

1.30pm     lunch at bangwallop

2.30pm     review and critique of images

5.00pm     finish

 

all timings are approximate and subject to change 

this course will involve walking some steep and un-even terrain and early starts.  please contact us if you have any questions about access to any of the locations.  

in the event of extreme weather conditions we will have time inside looking at work. it is suggested that participants bring some prints or some digital files for that purpose.

 

  

terms and conditions:

course transfers: there is no charge for transferring your booking to the same course on an alternative date provided you notify bangwallop up to 14 working days before the start of the course and that there is availability. however, a transfer fee of 20% of the course fee will be payable if notice is received within 14 working days of the start date of the original course. no refund will be made in the event of a transfer. no more than one transfer will be allowed.

cancelling your place: if you notify bangwallop up to 14 working days before the start date of the course, you will receive a full refund less an administration fee of 20%. if you withdraw for whatever reason within the 14 day period, the full fee will remain payable if you are unable to nominate a substitute attendee.

non-attendance: if you cannot attend the course on which you are booked and have not given prior notice to bangwallop then the course fee will remain payable in full.

cancellation by bangwallop: where circumstances dictate, bangwallop reserves the right to alter published programmes, trainers, fees or venues without prior notice. in the event of a course being cancelled, a refund of the course fee will be made but no compensation will be paid for any additional costs incurred.

insurance & camera equipment: it is advisable that you have adequate insurance for your own photographic equipment. during our courses your equipment may be subject to the elements or accidental damage. we are not responsible for any damage incurred to your photographic equipment or belongings whilst participating on one of our courses. bangwallop recommends that students obtain course cancellation insurance to cover the event of being forced to cancel or cut short a course.
